Versatility is the hallmark of any wardrobe essential. The tailored blazer, a wide-leg pant,
a sleek white sneaker, a luxe Swiss-made watch – these are just a few of the absolute
non-negotiables in my sartorial arsenal. There is always room for one more in the mix,
however, and my current favourite is this seriously cool top by Australian brand KITX.

While strapless tops haven’t previously been top of my list as far as basics go, this
uniquely crisp creation has me thoroughly hooked, giving that wholly stylish
impression that you had simply run out of options so decided to utilise your man’s work
shirt in an entirely unique way. Finally, this traditionally ultra-feminine silhouette has
been given a thoroughly modern update, and I am first in line to embrace it.

Styled with my aforementioned standard essentials, it’s easy to see just how versatile
this top really is, going from off-duty to workwear to dinner and beyond with a few
minor tweaks. In fact, I can think of few occasions where it couldn’t be utilised – a
sure sign it is worthy of essential status.

You can now shop this top + more from KITX’s Australian boutique thanks to Farfetch
so there’s no excuse not to add this to your own wardrobe and up its versatility factor in
a serious way.
