A few snaps from the Joy Hysteric Spring/Summer launch I had the pleasure of attending
this past Sunday at Lauxes On The Park at Broadbeach. The afternoon was filled with
champagne, specialty cocktails, canapés, macaroons (yum!) and a runway showcase of the
latest pieces set to hit the Broadbeach-based boutique, including those from the likes of
Camilla and Marc, Bec & Bridge, Ksubi, Shakuhachi and Alice McCall just to name a few.
I had a wonderful time catching up with fellow Brisbane bloggers Fab & Tas, Fran, Bianca
and Sammi, and the lovely Sara from Harper and Harley who made the trip up from
Sydney for the event. With these girls around it is impossible not to have an amazing time.

I definitely recommend you check this store out – it really is a one-stop shop for Aussie
designer labels. I unintentionally kept to this spirit getting dressed on the day, wearing
Shona Joy topZimmermann silk pants, Tony Bianco “Flamingo” sandals and
Mimco clutch. Pretty much top-to-toe Australian designers!

A special thanks must go to Mel, the incredibly cool owner of Joy Hysteric, for inviting
me along to the event, and to all the people who made the afternoon such wonderful fun.
Hoping for a repeat in the (very) near future.

  1. Ohh Joy Stores – I completely forgot about that shop – I used to frequent it a lot to look at what Lover and KW they had haha. ANyway, looks like a great event, not to mention how delicious you all looked!

  2. yikes! so many luscious outfits.
firstly i'll start off with yours – completely loving the print of your top. your overall look gives me that whole relaxed beach vibe, which is what i look forward to emulate as the warmer weather kicks in.
secondly, i spotted that knitted bec & bridge peplum and my jaw suddenly hit the floor. i want, want, want!
sooo many adorable prints and amazing jewellery in the one post.
    looks like a fun-filled event! x.
