Behold: my attempt at breathing new life into an old Dion Lee for Cue leather skirt.
This bad boy is cut in a more high-waisted, pencil mini style, but with a simple
unzipping, one fold down and a fastening of the waistband over the top to secure
my work (it was detachable with a push-button closure so I was lucky there), this
skirt got a whole new life within a matter of seconds. All it then needed was the
perfect basic top, provided here by the lovely team over at LNA Clothing
There is nothing more satisfying than giving an old piece a new lease on life,
particularly when the result is this wearable. This is about as close to DIY fashion
as I get, so consider me pretty proud.

  1. such a great skirt! it's great how you can wear it two ways. the way you've folded it down, to make it more like an asymmetrical mini is so chic Kaityln. and great basics to complement it. loving the super slouchy feel too 🙂

  2. it actually looks incredible. genius idea, kaity!
i absolutely love the folded part. it's a total dion lee skirt then.
ps. your hair is looking great. did you get the balayage done again more recently? x.
