Inspiration for Life.

Posted on: 2 March 2011

I only just saw the preview for the film First Love yesterday and now really need to see it.
The film follows three young girls from Phillip Island on their trip to Hawaii in pursuit of their dream to become pro-surfers.
Now, despite being a born-and-raised Queenslander, I have never surfed - in fact, I'm somewhat afraid of waves, so I certainly won't be watching this for tips.
I've always been fascinated by surfing though, especially when you see these young girls who grow up dreaming of doing it everyday for a living and lifetime profession.
Anything that documents and encourages the feeding of one's passion and the pursuit of a dream is worth seeing for me.

Think of this as less style inspiration, and more life inspiration.
We all need it every now and then.

well, zara did something like that with a miumiu print last year but it still was very obvious that it's not their own idea but only copied and adapted a tiny bit.

  4. I wish I could surf! Lessons and board hire are just so prohibitively expensive, though. I feel un-Australian, haha.

  8. Hey Fellow 20 something IFBer!

These photos are awesome! Love the whole surfer vibe, but seeming how I can get swimmers ear from being in the shower I don't think it will be my profession! I'll still to being passionate about blogging:)

  9. These images alone make me want to see it. They're gorgeous!
Sounds like it would be an awesome movie though.
I'm the same as you, not a huge fan of the waves, but I've always been so fascinated by surfing and surf films. I'm the only family member who can't.. guess that's why they all moved to Qld and left me behind lol

P.S. I don't surf either, but I'd be happy to watch surfers all day on the beach :)
